On February 23rd, 2005, Community Blood Centers of South Florida hosted an Open House Celebration of its newest south Miami-Dade facility. A ribbon cutting, featuring Dr. Abe Fischler, Chairman of the Board, Dr. Charles Rouault, President and CEO and representatives from Commissioner Joe Martinez?s office joined in the dedication and proclamation of this new facility.

The new 10,000 sq. ft. center, located at 12601 SW 125th Avenue, features a state-of-the-art blood processing/production laboratory, blood storage and dispatching facilities, training classrooms and donor recruitment/administrative offices to serve the needs of thousands of residents and 13 hospitals in south Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.

Community Blood Centers of South Florida, Inc. provides over 75% of the blood transfusion needs for Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. CBCSF has been providing hospitals and other healthcare facilities with blood and blood products since 1975, and currently operates 18 donor centers in the quad-county area.
