How To Claim your SAF Award

Congratulations! You are the recipient of a Scholarship from the Scholarship Assistance Foundation affiliated with the Community Blood Centers of South Florida. You were selected for your outstanding commitment to serving your community through organizing and participating in blood drives.

PLEASE USE THE FOLLOWING STEPS TO CLAIM YOUR AWARD:
  • You have to use your scholarship by December 31 of the second year after you graduate. For example, 2009 grads have until December 31, 2011.

  • Follow proper procedures to enroll at the institute of higher learning of your choice.

  • Give your school Registrar and/or Financial Aid Office, the scholarship award letter.

  • Have your institute of higher learning send notification of your enrollment to the Scholarship Assistance Foundation to 1700 North State Road 7 Lauderhill, FL 33313

  • or email an official copy of your schedule or a fee receipt to saf@cbcsf.org.

  • After we receive your enrollment verification, we will send the school a check for the total amount of your scholarship. Please allow up to TWO WEEKS for processing.

  • Scholarship checks are only sent to your institute of higher learning. It will not be sent directly to you.
